I have a user who has just changed their name. They have a mixture of calendar entries, some created as their old name and some as the new one. When people view their schedule it is only showing them as being busy for the entries created with their new name. Is there any way of fixing this problem without recreating all the old entries with the new name?
I hope that makes sense. Thanks in advance for any help.

How long ago did you do this name change. I’ve seen AdminP take a couple days to sort through everything and make it all right again.Make sure you go into your administration db and authorize anything that needs to be authorized.
Aside from that, I think there’s some command somewhere to force busytime to re-analyze all the calendar entries. Since I can’t remember it and I’m impatient, I’d probably rename busytime.nsf and let it rebuild.

Tony,
Busytime.nsf is a tricky application with renames. Did you have the user’s home mail server set as the administration server of their mail file? If not, then the Administration process will not update existing entries in busytime. What I would recommend, is have the user review the appointments in their calendar, then if they look right, perform the following from the server console:
-
Tell calconn quit
-
tell sched quit
-
delete busytime.nsf using the admin client
-
load calconn
-
load sched
-
tell sched validate.

Gregory, Perry
Thanks for your suggestions but these do not seem to have fixed the problem. In the end the user has just deleted the old entries and set up corresponding ones in their new name.
Thanks anyway
Tony
