can anyone give me a tip what i must enter at the server console after adding a mail rule “when internet domain contains xxx.xx then don’t accept message”.
after searching lots of items here in the forum
i tried “tell router update config” and “tell smtp update config”, i tried “tell router quit” and “load router” further “tell smtp quit” and “load smtp”,
but none of that got the rule working, although it says “Successfully registered xx system filters”.
it cannot be the way to restart the domino server, there must be a way to get the rules working, it’s making me angry, why they offer such a new tool when it’s so buggy (like simply not working when having “is” in the rule, should only work with “contains”, nowhere saying how to get them started after adding…).

Sounds more like a problem with your rule than a problem with restarting any of the services. I have had zero problem with creating rules and having them take effect immediately (though sometimes I restart the router for good measure).
Note that just because you don’t get any errors when you save your filters (i.e. you see "successfully registered xx system filters) does NOT mean that the filters are filtering what you think they are filtering.
Some things to think about:
Do none of your filters work, or just some of them?
Can you get an easy-to-test filter to function properly (i.e. create a sender filter for your hotmail/yahoo email account and see if it properly filters mail sent from that account).
If it is just one or a few that don’t work, I’d look harder at the rules themselves for problems. Again, they might not be actually doing what you think they are doing.
If none of your rules work, then it does seem to point more to an issue with the rules function in general.

of course it tested on the server with an hotmail account saying “if sender contains/is xxx@hotmail.com” “then don’t accept message” and it never works. so i tried the rule at my mail-db and there it works, so configuring the rule is not so hard to understand but on serverside it IS not working.
Perhaps it is a problem with domino version, i use 6.02cf1 with german languagepack and germna 6.2cf1 notesclient.
