Bug?: OSVBlockAddr: Bad VBlock handle (0\0) and NotesDbDirectory

Just wondering if I’ve found a bug:

The following code produces a red box, if the set logdb statement is not below the set db statement:

Put the code in agent an run it from the agent list (install ZapNotes first :0] ).

’ Only pos 3 for LINE #3 will work

Dim logDb As NotesDatabase

Dim db As NotesDatabase

Dim dbdir As NotesDbDirectory

Dim srvName As String

Dim i As Integer

srvName = [Your server]

’ Set logDb = New NotesDatabase(srvName , “LOG.NSF” ) 'LINE #3 pos 2

Set dbdir = New NotesDbDirectory( srvName ) 'LINE #1

’ Set logDb = New NotesDatabase(srvName , “LOG.NSF” ) 'LINE #3 pos 2

Set db = dbdir.GetFirstDatabase( DATABASE ) 'LINE #2

Set logDb = New NotesDatabase(srvName , "LOG.NSF" ) 'LINE #3 pos 3

If you want to traverse your notesdbdirectory and need to leave remember to clear your notesdbdirectory object. Add LINE #4

Do While Not (db Is Nothing)

	Print db.FilePath

	i = i + 1

	If i = 10 Then

		Set dbdir = Nothing 'LINE #4

		Exit Do

	End If

	Set db = dbdir.GetNextDatabase

Loop

Is this behavior here to stay? Am I alone with this? Is there another workaround? Do my Client need upgrade - I use 6.5?

Best regards

Steen

I know this is a long time after your initial post, but I’ve had the same problem and found that this workaround worked well for me. Thanks for posting, Steen.
