Here is the problem, tested on three completely different servers: loading compact -a, the serever, according to archiving settings, creates one db for archive and one for log.To do this server sholud be listed in the “Create databases & templates:” field on the security tab of the server document.
Here is the problem: if you only list the server in this field it doesen’t create anything and it says that server is not athorized (loading compact -a from console).
More: if you only list the User that create teh organization and the server at teh begining (without listing the server) the server is alloewd to create teh archive db.
It seems crazy but it is so. The solution, waiting for news is to empty this field, so everyone can create db and it works. Try it if you don’t believe!
