I have an application with an embedded view that has scroll bars enabled. When users scroll through a large number of documents (dozens?), the browser tends to freeze. Sometimes the refresh button sorts it out, otherwise the browser needs to be forcibly closed.I don’t believe that this was a problem before we upgraded from 5.11 to 6.02CF1.
Anyone else had this problem?

I have the same problem. Running 6.51. OS - Win 2k , SP4. Plan on adding more memory, will be at 1GB+. If that doesn’t work, then I’ll have to go to HTML views … very ugly!!!
Very interested in any other solutions.

UPDATE!
Talked with Lotus Support and was told that the view applet is being “phased out”, in future releases. I asked which one and was told " not sure". The tech gave me two examples of tech notes that show that Lotus knows about the problem, yet is doing nothing and plans to NOT do anything in the future. The tech notes are pasted below. I guess Lotus is hoping that this just goes away and eveyone will forget about it. Pretty said that we have to put up with “ugly” views.

Thanks for the update - thought I was supposed to be emailed about updates, but didn’t get anything about these.Anyway, the problem has almost gone away for us after upgrading to a new faster server (dual 2GHz processors, 1GB memory), and have also done some application redesign to cut down the amount of scrolling that users need to do. I don’t like the idea of “Next Page/Previous Page” navigation though - a bit of a return to the stone age.
