Browse Databases via Web

I recently upgraded server to 6.0.1 from R5. On R5, if I typed web address of my http-enabled domino server in browser window, I would see a ‘directory’ of all my Notes databases. Now, I get a “Page Not Found” error.

If I type the address of a specific database (i.e., www.mynotesserver.com/mail/mymail.nsf), it opens up fine. I just can’t get the root directory listing of databases anymore.

Any ideas on how I can restore this functionality?

Hi

The feature has been removed in R6 for security reasons, I read somewhere…

I’ve always found the “browse databases” feature very messy, so years ago I just made my own simple database, which has an agent which collects info about the databases on the server and links to them. You could do the same.

It’s the first option under the R5 Basics section (second section down on the left) of the HTTP tab of the Internet Protocols tab of the server document.

Go with the old create an app… Or use the built in one…!

Your server doc(s) probably got updated with more up to date settings of not allowing browsing by default. Check on the Internet Protocols/HTTP tab, about 4 items down. Not sure why it’s not on the security tab…Steve
