We are running various notes clients (6.5, 8.0.2 and now 8.5.1). The plan is to eventually put everybody on 8.5.1 Fix Pack 2.

When I’m upgrading people to 8.5.1 FP2 I usually have no issues, however when I upgrade users who are roaming from either 6.5 or 8.0.2 to 8.5.1 I get the error "“the notes client requires an up to date bookmark template, BOOKMARK.NTF. Please obtain a copy and restart Notes”.

The only way I’ve found so far to get aorund this is to remove roaming for the user, configure the new client, then re-do roaming. There must be a better way, please help.

Steve, are you deploying bookmark.ntf on the clients that are being upgraded from 7.x and 8.02?

So far I’ve just been installing it manually (we are yet to kick off a proper roll out).

7 is the only thing we don’t have. We’ve got 6.5 and 8.0.2 and it seams that this error occurs when we upgrade either one. (and the user was roaming before hand)
