I have been running version 8.5 on my Mac for a few months with no problems. In order to reproduce a user error it was necessary to uninstall version 8.5 and install version 7.03. After the 7.03 install I got an error stating that I needed to obtain a new version of bookmark.ntf. After searching the forums I tried renaming bookmark.nsf to force the creation of a new bookmark.nsf file. Now I am getting this error;Cannot write or create file (file or disk is read-only). When I close the dialog box the Notes client exits.

For some reason the permission for the bookmark.ntf file was set to read-only after the installation. I changed this to read-write and everything is working now.
