Hopefully someone can help with this problem.
For the last 7 months, one of our senior manager’s has been having problems with his Lotus Notes. The problem is that the tab bar of open databases vanishes. This seems to slow down Lotus Notes and when clicking on anything which requires an action to run, the Notes Error box appears and bombs out.
The only way to fix this is to delete the bookmark.nsf and allow it to be automatically recreated upon restart. This solves the problem for approximately 1 month before the same thing happens again.
In the team, we have also tried replacing the workspace.nsf file, compacting the workspace, deleting the cache, running fixup on the mailfile but without any job. We have even had a complete clean re-install of Lotus Notes but the same problems happens. There are no scheduled agents in the mailfile.
Has anyone experienced this before or could someone point me to something which may be wrong? The only thing we can think of now is changing the hardware but would this cause the software fault??
