I have a user that when sending an external email, the person receiving the email only receives the emails banner. The contents/body of the email is not displayed. There are no problems sending emails internally. The same email can be sent to a user internally, then they can forward to the same external address who can then see the body of the email.
Can someone please advise if they are aware of a setting that may have been enabled.

Does this user have an HTML signature? If so, take a look at the headers of the message (or have the user send the message to an internet address that you control, and you look at the headers).
HTH.

Hi Gregg,
Thanks for your response. Our users signature is Text.
I got our user to send a couple of test messages to other external addresses and they are working fine.
The person that our user is sending to has two different internet addresses and both aren’t displaying the body of the email. But they are receiving emails from other users ok.
It seems that all of a sudden our users address has been singled out not to receive the body of his email.
Any ideas ??

I hate to have to ask, but I have a couple of questions.
User A sends to User B. User B gets the message, but the body is missing. User A can send to other internal users, and all of them get the body of the message.
Correct?
Is the message encrypted?
What client are User A and User B using? Notes, DWA, POP?
Have you tested this without using a signature?
Thanks.
Gregg

Hi Gregg,
User A sends to User B. User B gets the message, but the body is missing. User A can send to other internal and external users, and all of them get the body of the message.
User A can send the same email to User C (internally notes client), then User C forwards the email to User B, who can then see the body of the email.
The message isn’t encrypted.
User A is using Notes client, I don’t know what User B is using.
User A has a text signature, regards etc.
Strange one isn’t it.
Thanks… Marion
