I have a user who is receiving email from one particular external source. The email is appearing on the client as having a blank body. If I open this users mailfile with my client, I can see the body of the email. I asked the sender to change from rich text to plain text and try again. The user can now view the the body of the email. Anybody run into this before? I am running 8, user is running 6.5.5. I plan to upgrade user to 7 (we haven’t released 8) but wanted to post here first for advice. Thanks!

We have not difficulty w/ rich text incoming e-mails- I would just do the upgrade to 7.0.? and I am sure that will fix it.

Is the blank body only when the user uses DWA? If so, it might be this new active content filter built into DWA 'round about R655 or 656. I can’t remember exactly what it’s called or the server-wide INI parameter to tell it to stop, but when it sees some html it thinks might be malicious (or at least suspicious) active content, it inserts html comment tags around the ugly part. I have seen html syntax specifics where the close comment doesn’t take effect, and thus you get an empty page.

I have upgraded user to 7.0.1 and she still is only getting blank emails from one particular external source. I can open on my client ok, I can see the body. Only on her PC. Any other suggestions please?

sorry for not checking my responses for months on end! In case either of the posters is still paying attention, note that DWA is on the server, not on the client – so upgrading the client won’t help if this is the DWA active content filter – and your reply did not confirm whether this was happening only in DWA.
