Hi Guys,I sure there’s an easy answer to this question, but i cant find it! We have a general group on our email system, this contains all people, its used in some acl’s. Some ppl have started abusing this group by sending e-mails to it, this sends emails to every1, and half of them don’t need to know about the e-mail. Is there a way to block people from using this group, I know u can change the group type to “acl list only”, this blocks them entering it from the address section of a new memo, but they can still type “general” in the “to” box and it sends the e-mail!!
And help would be appreciated
Cheers
Matt
Subject: Block Emailing to certain groups
I’m on 6.0.3 and when I tried it with a test group I got the “Name not found in the name and address book” message. Check that you don’t have a user with that name also, or two groups with the same name …
Failing that upgrade to 6.0.3…

If you changed the group type to ACL then immediately run “load updall names.nsf” on your console. This will update the views which more than likely have the group name cached.
Then retest.
