Blacklisted - Help!

Hi

We have been informed to day that we have been blacklisted. I’ve looked through all the entries and made some of the changes suggested by Chris Linfoot (thanks by the way!!). However I’ve tried sending in mails from yahoo and gmail and I am now getting delivery failures:

Status: 5.7.1 (Permanent failure - security: delivery not authorised,

message refused)

Is this to do with the changes I’ve made to my server document:

Deny messages to be sent to the following external internet domains *

Perform Anti relay enforcements for these connecting hosts = All connecting hosts

DNS Blacklist filters = Enabled

Verify senders domain in DNS = Enabled

Verify that local domain recipients exist in the domino directory = Enabled

Sorry if I sound really stupid but I’m fairly new to all this and I feel like I’ve had a baptism of fire.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Adam

You have been blacklisted most likely because your mailserver is an open mail relay.

To close this open relay down, put a * in these 2 parameters in the server doc: “Deny messages to be sent to the following external internet domains” and “Deny messages from the following internet hosts to be sent to external internet domains”

Disable again all the rest of the options that you have mentioned. See then that all in and outgoing mails work correctly again. They should remove you then again from the blacklist.

Afterwards look further into closing down your mailserver via the other options. I think it is maybe the option Verify senders domain in DNS that is currently blocking your mails from yahoo.
