Having a blackberry sync problem. Client is running 6.5.1 on Win2K. Desktop Manager is 3.6.3.11 and BES is 2.2.4.6. Everytime you add an entry to your local address book and sync the device, it finds the changes and accept it to your blackberry. Then the next time you unplug the blackberry and reconnect it again, it will prompt you that there are some changes made and it ask you to accept it on your Notes Client. Then the next you sync again, the prompt is to accept it from your blackberry. And there it goes that you have to accept the changes everytime you sync back and forth, just like an endless loop. Tried uninstalling, then deleted any trace of desktop manager. Hard reset the device. Reinstall lotus notes with new names.nsf. It will only work for like a day and then you’ll get the problem back again. By the way user has a copy of his local address book on the server in which her secretary has access on her workspace. The secretary only make changes on the server copy in which it replicates to the clients local names.nsf. Any advise is greatly appreciated. Rim advised me to clear the address book under the desktop manager’s advanced tab the first time and it worked for a couple days only.

I had a slightly similar situation but it sounds like you essentially tried the same thing. I had to create a new names.nsf and imported all the contacts from the Blackberry.
I created a brand new PAB, pointed intellisync to new file, and synched. Then shutdown notes and deleted the old and renamed to names.nsf. That was the only way I could fix it.
For what it’s worth…

Anthony thanks for your quick reply. Tried that as well and still doing it.

Can you look at Details to see what is changing? We find that there can be data validation that repeatedly changes the same field on each device.
