URL text hotspots embedded in e-mails are not links when received on a Blackberry. It comes in as plain text. If instead, the link is embedded directly (without the text hotspot), it works.
Any help to get around this would be appreciated.

Hi,
CoexLinks Tip: Doclinks for your Blackberry (or other mobile device)

To make sure I understand:“Click here to go to…” where the word here is an embeded URL versus “Click here (http://www.link.com) to go to…”
The BlackBerry deals with the first one by basically removing the hotspot and making it plain text while the second one is hotlinked.
Is that correct?

Actually, it is even simpler than that. The BES simply makes a plain text copy and sends it along. Even the text link isn’t a link. But then, the Blackberry handheld will turn a text link “hot” when it recognizes that one exists, so the text link turns back into a link.

Yes, that’s correct. We know about the CoexLinks product, but we were hoping that it would be something we can resolve without it.
Thanks.
