BlackBerry and Redirection for Custom Folders

I have just been given a Blackberry (7130e). We are running Domino 6.5.5. On my notes client I have custom folders set up and rules associated to send certain emails to these custom folders. Can I direct the BlackBerry manager to look at these custom folders as well as my inbox for emails to direct to the BB device? As of now in Blackberry Desktop Manager under Redirect Settings/Folder Redirection, the “Inbox Only” is selected and I am unable to do anything with “Selected Folders”/

Any direction would be greatly appreciated.

Ron,

Go to your Messages Options > Email Settings > click on trackwheel again > Folder Redirection.

Just select the folder which you want to redirect to your Blackberry 7130e.

Are these directions for my blackberry? If so, I found “message options” but I don’t have an “Email Settings” under it. I do have an “Email Settings” but if I click on the trackwheel I don’t have a “Folder Redirection”.

Sorry for being difficult, my blackberry is a 7130e…maybe my menu structure is different?

Some device menus are different if you have a BES server, but it sounds like you are using the Desktop Software to connect Notes to the BB device?

In that case open the Desktop software

double-click Redirector Settings

click the Advanced tab

select the Selected Folders radio button

click the Choose Folders button

For some reason I am getting the error “The list of folders is currently unavailable”. I followed the resolution but unfortunately this did not work. This definately has me baffled. Any other directions would be greatly appreciated.

Hey Ron,

The resolution for that article is “To recreate the state database, remove the user account from the BlackBerry Enterprise Server. Then, add the account again and re-activate it.” Was your activation successful? If you are not able to select any folders for redirection, your state database’s folder structure could be corrupted. You may need to rebuild it. Follow these steps:
