i’m trying to resolve that problem since 2 weeks!
when i type “sh ta”, i see that smtp and
router tasks are runing, but if I do
a netstat -an | grep LISTEN on a shell
console, I have only these 3 ports listening :
httpd (80)
domino(1352)
sshd(22)
there is no smtp port listening,
I can’t receive any mail from the outside !!
please, i really need help!

You might have linux process capturing smtp port prior than Domino. When you start domino, don´t you get any message showing this ?
Subject: RE: Big Smtp Problem !

Check if your RH firewall is running and blocking that port. Also, if the linux user that holds domino installtion is restricted, change it to unrestricted.
good luck

i just added the expor LD_ASSUME_KERNEL=2.5.5
to the domino user’s .bahsrc
and everything seems to work now
but i’ve got an other problem,
when i launch the server from
a ssh session, as just as i quit
the ssh session, the server stop,
would you know why?
Subject: RE: Big Smtp Problem !

try this…
nohup server &
