A new Sun fire 280R server running Solaris 8 (+ latest patches) had Lotus Domino R6.5 installed & ran OK, obtained upgrade to R6.51 from this site. Attempted install - errors in post installation section
Installing Domino Server kits …
An unexpected error occured during post-install processing:
Died at (eval 33) line 50.
/tmp/sol/tools/lib/NIC.pm line 982
The installation failed for the local host
Removed /opt/lotus and the notes data directory - re-installed R6.5 - same error, repeated again with R6.51 full install & same error occured.
Investigation shows that at that point - it is trying to work with files it has placed in the /usr/kernel/drv directory !
Looking at the NIC.pm lines starting at 974 states it is trying to update the files in the /usr/kernel/drv directory.
I have raised this with Lotus support, but just hoping someone else had a similar experience and managed to get around it
