I have been struggeling to find the best configuration of my Domino mail server to make the highest percentage of external mail servers happy. The one thing I would like to accomplish is allowing my Notes clients to use simple document links to send real URL’s that are active. What I get now is a notes://server1/**** that wants to launch the notes client.I have two servers running 6.5.1 one is an internal server (not running http task) the other is our Internet server not accessable from the LAN. Notes routing is used to move mail between the servers and SMTP is configure to convert to HTML at this point.
A person can use a hotspot URL in the composed message with a little working knowledge. But this is too complicated for most. By this I mean changing notes://server1/*** to http://www.mydomain.com/***
Is it possible to have the server convert the URL when sending out of my domain?
