I’m new to BES and Blackberry. I have a problem with mail synchronization with BES and Blackberry Pearl 8100 and Curve 8310.
This is the situation:
I installed a new Domino 6.5.4 server,in windows 2003 server, in his own Domain and Organization. I Cross-certificate the servers ids and set documents to replicate email databases and send SMTP mail from this new server through the standard company Domino mail server. So far so good… everything works well. I make new user documents with the info of the location of the replicated email dbs in the address book of the new server (same as a standard Notes web user - no ids)
In this new Domino server, I installed BES 4.1.4. It installed ok. I rechecked all the ports and everything seems to work fine. Security also seems to be ok. I follow the rules indicated in the installation manual.
I set an user in the BES with his BB 8100 recognized though the usb server port. i disconnected the BB and configured to use the BES (Enterprise mail option in BB) . So far so good.
The problem:
I can send mail from the bb and it goes thought the BES and Domino server (i can see it in Domino console) but i cannot get to read the lotus mail in the bb. No mail messages appear in the bb except from the pin send emails from the BES server.
If anyone can give me advice it’ll be very appreciated.

FWIW, I have to agree with JYR’s second question, “Does your BES server have access to the mail file?” Check the ACLs of your mail files to make sure that your BES has Manager rights.

Thanks for responding so fast. I will recheck all the steps.
The security should be ok. I first put the BB group (BlabberryAdmins) as Manager on the new server mail databases. Finally I set -default- as Manager to make the last tests just in case. The funny thing is that the bb pearl send mail though the bes server and the Domino server … i see it in the domino console and the mail arrives ok. That means that the bes server is interacting with the Domino server. It’s the other way that is not working… bb doesn’t know it has mail. I will post later today the notes log with the messages.
I don’t see any error message even in the bes logs.
