Bad luck in replication of iPaq

I have a customer who is in a Murphy-period-in-time. Actual backup is 3 days old, the big boss has performed a wrong manipulation with the iPaq synchronisation. The boss has deleted every mail from the iPaq, he wanted to synchronize to recover the mails … wrong master settings … Now his local replica is also empty. Via automatic replication the server version is now equally empty (with a size of 350MB).

Question : is there a tool to recover all (or some) the recent mails ? Even with a lot of manual intervention ? As long as the compact has not schrunk the database.

Any information will be of great help (even bad news).

Have you got soft deletes enabled and have you checked the trash ?

If there is nothing there then I suggest asking users to resend messages, I know it’s not very elegant but at least he will get some, if not all messages back. You may be able to search through the logs to see who he has received messages from depending on your log level.

The compact will make no difference as it only gets rid of white space
