Bad Bug - your clients will lock

With your Designer client open, enable Lotus Script Debugger, now from the Notes client go to Open > Lotus Notes Application and open one of the help dbs on your local client. Now try to do something in Lotus Notes, everything is frozen. Can’t close any windows. Have to kill everything in task manager to get back in. I hope you didn’t forget to save that code you have been working on for hours.

Hi Paul,

I found a Software Problem Report (SPR) that looks rather similar to the issue - SPR#: BASO7HXRLN - “LS Debugger hangs Linux client”. The details in the SPR state “Turn on the LS debugger. Open any application that has some LotusScript code in it, Mail will do. When debugger screen comes up, Notes hangs.”

I recommend calling into Support, open a New PMR, and also reference this SPR so that Support may investigate this issue further and hopefully find a resolution for the issue to prevent it from occurring in the future.
