Someone told me that there is this script in lotus which I can use to have the view index being updated via background. I tried to search earlier in this forum, but can’t find sample code on this.
I heard this code is available in IBM’s book on Domino 6, wonder does anyone has copy of the code and don’t mind to paste it here?

The Notes 7 Client refreshes view indexes in the background automatically, but if you want it to be a bit faster and not taking up the user’s CPU time, you can have a scheduled agent on the server, which runs for example every 5 minutes (high frequency is not a problem since already up-to-date views take no time to update):http://www.siipi.com/support/siipi.nsf/0/85a1462707de7413c2256f98005ed890?OpenDocument

Very cool link, does it work on client only? I currently only study the features with a client sample.
