After upgrading my Notes Client from 6.5 to 6.5.1, the cool, green, “Awareness Icon” has disappeared from my “Instant Contacts Portal”(I’m using the standard Notes Client Welcome Page WorkPlace).
I can still launch a Chat session, but the green Icon is no longer in the window to indicate who is active\online.
Anyone else encountered this? Or might know of a solution to get the icon back.
Sametime Server version is 3.1, running in the same Domain.
TIA

Did you try replacing you your mail file design with the Domino Web Access mail Template (formerly iNotes)

Thanks for the Response…
Tried that, and still no icon.
Have not updated the Server, (still running 6.5) just the client, maybe that’s the key.

I have the same issue here. Two PC’s, NT and XP, updated from 6.5 to 6.5.1.
Our mail server is running 6.5.1, but the sametime server is frozen on 6.0.2CFx.
I see the awareness icons in my mailfile and own applications, but neither within the integrated workplace nor within the buddylist (i.e. instant messaging contact list)invoked by Crtl-Shft-C.

Thanks for everyone’s response.
I am using LDAP for authentication, so the TechNote, though it didn’t resolve the issue was nice in that it showed it was a known problem.

How does your Sametime server authenticate users? If it uses LDAP, that’s the problem. Search for technote 1163059 for more info.
