I have a user that when you try to schedule a meeting with, if you look at his available time, is always blocked, or unavailable, everyday, every hour. Except you can still schedule meetings with him. And he’s getting an error message:
When trying to accept the meeting, but it will still schedule for him. I can’t see that he has anything set out of the ordinary. His availability hours in the preferences look fine…he says he hasn’t changed anything and it just started happening in the last couple of weeks.
Any ideas?
Subject: Try some things
Did you try the commands listed in this technote to see what the busytime system thinks it has for that user?
Title: Notes calendar free time displays wrong information
URL: http://www.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?rs=899&uid=swg21141060
Subject: Thanks, Susan…
Trying the recommended steps in that technote today…will post the results.
Subject: Conflicts
95% of the time that a user reports this I find a “All day Event” that spans days, rather than set as a Repeating All day event.
May need to run a Tell sched update after finding the bad entry.
Subject: Thanks, but…
Not in this case…I’ve gone back a few months actually and see no all day events at all. I’m going to keep searching, but right now I don’t see anything in his calendar that looks out of the ordinary.
Subject: Update or check?
I never codied an “update” command for Schedule Manager and I don’t see one in code now.
Do you mean check instead? That will cause Schedule Manager to compare busytime to the actual calendar contents and get the two in sync.
