The Availability Index on one of our servers varies between 0 and 22. I checked the platform disk statistics and noticed Platform.LogicalDisk.1.AvgQueueLen = 3.38. Ran a defrag and Platform.LogicalDisk.1.AvgQueueLen = 1.39. The availability index is the same. Memory and CPU usage is acceptable. The thing is the server seems to be operating fine. Response time is good.
Are there any other statistics I can review to find out why the availability index is being reported so low?
