"automation object error"

hello,

     when i am trying to download a report from lotus to excel "automation object error" is coming.....this programm was working fine earlier but now it's giving this  error message....there are only 12,200 documents in view so i think this can't create this problem.... ...kindly suggest why this error msg is coming and how to sort  out this problem

First of all I would suggest you put some error handling routines in your code and then debug.

As you said this report was working fine previously and if nothing has changed in the code and if you’re using the Orientation property in your code then that might be to do with the printer settings. If excel can’t find default printers on a computer running excel, then it would report this error. Please check.

Orientation property can be applied for several excel objects. For example if you want to print a landscape then you would apply the Orientation property to the pageSetup object…

excelWorksheetObject.PageSetup.Orientation = xlLandscape
