Does anyone know of a why to install DUCS without having to first launch Notes?
We utilize ZENworks to deploy the Notes client via application package and I have also created a package for DUCS v123. Both applications install and function successfully as long as the Notes client is manually launched prior to DUCS installation.
I am able to deploy the Notes client in a somewhat preconfigured state with a combination of Domino policies and restoring the users’ notes.ini, desktop6.ndk, and username.id files. However this preconfigured package doesn’t satisfy DUCS unless Notes is first logged into.
If anyone has any ideas of how I might be able to accomplish this it would be greatly appreciated. I’m unaware of what DUCS needs to see from the Notes client or OS before it will successfully install.
I would even consider a common registry or file change after Notes is launched the first time and use that as a logic to trigger the DUCS package deployment/installation. I did scan the registry for common changes after Notes was launched, but I only discovered user defined key changes.
Any ideas?
