Automatically send an email out every 2 weeks

Hoping someone can help me out.

I’m looking to set something up that would automatically send out an email to a group every 2 weeks.

We turn in our timesheets every 2 weeks, and I want to send out a email reminder to everyone. We have it on our calendars, but that’s not good enough.

Could someone tell me how to accomplish this? Would it be done using an agent somewhere? And what would it look like? Just a simple @mailsend command?

Thanks

Subject: Calendar Notification Email

That’s built- in. We don’t have it setup on individual calendars. Instead, I have a calendar entry to reminder me to do my time sheet. I set the “Notify Me” option checked and checked the box to send an email an hour before the reminder. Instead of just sending it to me, I send the reminder to my department’s group. So they all receive an email reminding them to do their time sheets as well.

The reminder is from me but you could change that. You could use a department calendar and then use an account specifically for agents so the email doesn’t come from you.

Subject: honestly, people who don’t feel guilty that they don’t care about their calender won’t change their habbits of ignorance just because there is some automated mails.

Subject: RE: feeling guilty

Actually, some people feel horribly guilty when they don’t fill out their timesheets.

In any event, department managers don’t really care whether people feel guilty or not. They just want people to do their timesheets and to show up at meetings and be more productive in general. That means implementing tools that would help. If you can’t get people to put something on their calendar or check their calendar, an automated email reminder is a pretty easy fix.

This may be part social engineering and part software but that’s the case with a lot of what we do.
