Automatic uploading file to a Web Server

Dear All,

I have created a mail-in-database which receives mail and detaches the attachment from the mail to a folder in my local machine.

Now I need to upload this file, from my machine, to a Web Server(IS6) automatically. Also after the upload the file needs to be moved to another folder on my local machine.

Lastly a log has to be maintained in notes database recording the result of the attempts for upload.

Also please suggest if there is any other way around to detach an attachment from a mail and directly move the detached file to a web server.

Thanks in advance.

Does the web server have FTP enabled? If so, then you should use the NotesFTP script library (available in the sandbox).

Hi Ben,

Thanks a lot for the NotesFTP info. I checked out its working superb. But as the Web Server will be on the other side of the firewall I don’t think that FTP will be opened.

Please tell any whether I can go about this file transfer through HTTP?

Any other suggestions for a work around for this entire process will be highly appreciated.

Thanks once again.
