Right now, I do the following steps…
Make changes to a database in Domino Designer.
Switch to the main client.
Select the database.
Make a new copy of the database locally, with just the design (no ACL, no data).
Edit the properties of the database and identify it as a template.
Select the “test” version of the database.
Refresh the “test” database’s template, after pointing it to my local copy.
Is there any way that I can streamline this even further?
I can live with it as is, but I find it annoying - particularly the part where I have to identify the design as a template and give it the exact name that the refresh routine expects.
Ideally, I would like to be able to define everything up front and then simply have the equivalent of a “deploy test version” button.
