i have tried to use the auto-populated group feature, but these groups weren’t filled anyway.
After debuging with debug_autopop=2 (Thanks to eknori) i found out, that the task doesn’t find any group to populate:
… Found 0 auto-populated groups to process …
The Fields in the Group-Document are set to:
autopopulate = 1
autopopulate input = 1
I checked the spelling of the Maildomain and tried to leave this field clear, but nothing works.
Any idea where to look now?

Subject: Check Directory Profile
Did you edit the Directory profile and set an interval for when the server should check for auto-populated groups? Check that first. After that, have you either restarted the Update task or the Domino server since the profile was changed? The Update task checks the setting when it starts, so any changes since the server (or task) started would be ignored.

Yes, i checked the profile document before and i did a “restart tast update” with a “debug_autopop=2”. After some time i updated the design of our DA-Database and now the server shows the wellknown: " Error looking up name on LDAP Server; See server log for further details…".I checked the adressbooks we use in the DA and unchecked the LDAP-Client marks in the Konfigurationdocuments in the DA-DB. Some time later, i found that one of my groups is populated the other two are not. So i replicate the pubnames.nsf to our “Investigation”-Server (without DA running) and … all groups are populated! So i guess the DA-Process has something to do with this weird thing. I will investigate in this and post the answer, if i will find it. :-))
