Does the option “To authorize the locking of documents” in Notes slow down the base ?

This is reliable ?

Document Locking is generally going to be more of a nuisance if the following conditions are in place:1) Widely distributed replica copies

  1. Different Notes versions

  2. Applications used by both Notes clients and web browser clients

If none of these are in place then the feature works well. If these are in place then the feature may not be as robust or fast as you would ideally want it to be. It’s a tricky feature to implement, so it’s not surprising that these factors can make it less desirable.
