I have a author names field with multiple names.
People who are with there common name in the Authors-field (and have Author access in the ACL)cannot see the document (because there is also a filled readernames field).
People that are with there fuly distinguished name in the Authors-field can view the document.
In the documentation of Author names fields is stated that you can use common, abbreviated or fully distuinguised names.
Is it still posible to use common-names in authors names fields?
Subject: What the help actually says about author fields
“Within a domain, an abbreviated, or common name, is sufficient for user authentication, but between domains, you must supply the full hierarchical name or authentication will fail.”

Subject: common names
common names will only work if the user and server share a common org. certifier
John Doe/SALES/IBM
mail01/SERVER/IBM
John Doe in Reader/Author field will work because both the user and server are certified by /IBM
John Doe/SALES/ACME
mail01/SERVER/IBM
John Doe in Reader/Author field will not work because the user and server do not share the same org. certifier
Subject: Thanks Paul for the solution
The problem is the fact that the users have another organisation certifier then the server has, so common names will not work.
