I have a database where if I click the save button twice in a row without reopening the document the $UpdatedBy disappears from the document properties and @Author[1] returns an empty string. Is this a bug? What could be causing this?

Assuming this is a new document. The @Author function can return “” legitimately; see the documentation. The $UpdatedBy item is not stored in all documents; I’m not sure offhand of the rules behind this. I would not expect to see it removed from an already-existing document, but I would not be surprised to see that it doesn’t exist in a new document.
