Domino Help has the following comments:
“You can use a secondary LDAP directory to authenticate Web users. You can then add the names of these Internet users to database ACLs to control user access to databases.”
How can a user be checked in an LDAP directory or a database ACL when they are recognized only by the name ‘Anonymous’ on the web?

Users aren’t necessarily recognized as Anonymous. Indeed, they usually aren’t, in most applications. If a user tries to do something that goes beyond the permissions set for Anonymous, he’ll be prompted for a user name and password. If he has a valid name and password in the server directories, he’ll be identified under that name.

The other response is correct except taht you of course need to set up your own security on the ACL’s via the LDAP directory name.
