Attempt to access database denied

I’m getting the following in my Misc Log. Odd thing is that a new entry occurs every five minutes. I know it’s not a person attempting this since it happens all day and night long. So my question is what should I look for that would be responsible for triggering this message every five minutes?

06/19/2008 03:17:11 ATTEMPT TO ACCESS DATABASE mail/dib.nsf by Staff/TCI was denied

06/19/2008 03:22:12 ATTEMPT TO ACCESS DATABASE mail/dib.nsf by Staff/TCI was denied

06/19/2008 03:42:15 ATTEMPT TO ACCESS DATABASE mail/dib.nsf by Staff/TCI was denied

06/19/2008 03:47:15 ATTEMPT TO ACCESS DATABASE mail/dib.nsf by Staff/TCI was denied

06/19/2008 03:52:15 ATTEMPT TO ACCESS DATABASE mail/dib.nsf by Staff/TCI was denied

06/19/2008 03:57:15 ATTEMPT TO ACCESS DATABASE mail/dib.nsf by Staff/TCI was denied

Thanks!

Is Staff/TCI an administrative ID? If so, look at the local names.nsf for any admins who share this ID and check the $Programs view for program documents that may be trying to, say, archive this database.

“Is Staff/TCI an administrative ID?”

No - that is a ‘shared’ id, but I did find that some of the pc’s that are supposed to have access to that id file didn’t have the id file on the pc and there were location documents that referenced that id file.

Long story short was that I ‘cleaned’ up the three pc’s that access that account and it seems to have cleared up whatever it was that was sending the entries to the misc log.

Thanks for the reply.

What do you mean by ‘clean-up’?

I deleted the cache.dsk and mail.box, checked the replication schedule… the message is still appearing in our server log.nsf

For us, the message is appearing for the user id of the person who uses the Admin id.
