Hello all.
Did anyone manage to have the router compress attachments in incoming SMTP mail ?
Here LZ1 compression works pretty well for internal mail, sent from Notes clients, but never happens on Internet originated mail.
I haven’t found anything related in server config documents, the administration help database or even in this forum (well, except the same unanswered question dating back from 2003).
Anyone knows how to trigger it?
Does the feature even exist ?

There is no support for LZ1 attachment generation on the router.
IBM recommends using network compression instead.
Which won’t help me reduce mailbox sizes. sigh

We use this for one of our clients and it works very well for that purpose. It’s called ZipMail
