Attachment Filenames get lost

Hi,

we have a problem with two domino servers in a cluster. Some attachments in outgoing mails are renamed to ATTxxx (where xxx is a random number). The file is still useable - only the filename is wrong.

NRPC and SMTP Mails are both affected. Sometimes in one single mail only a few attachments are converted to the ATT name and the other ones are fine. Furthermore Scanmail is installed on that server in the actual version 3.0.

We used domino 7.0.3 before and had the same problem.

Hopefully waiting for suggestions

Ben

Subject: Attachment

Hi

If you open up the mail is the attachment still in the body field or is it below a line in thye mail? Did you attach the file with an custom made action or with Lotus Notes own command?

I have found out that from version 7.0.3 you have to declare the richtext Item as an variant instead of a NotesRichtext Item in custom made actions.

Subject: Attachment autom. renames to ATT*

Hi Thorsten,

the files are attached with notes (drag and drop into the mail).

I have read that Domino converts the filenames of attachments if multiple files have the same filename. But this isn“t the case. Is there any other reason why domino could do this?
