Attachment File in Richtext Field

Hi All,

I am trying to open an attachment by double clicking on the attachment file (MS Word, MS Excel, MS Powerpoint) which is in a richtext field. It brings the attachment propertie box with the buttons View, Open, Edit,Save, Delete.

I like to do control those buttons availability. If a user have reader access then only View and Open will be available and rest will be disable, If a user have author access then only View, Open, Edit, Save will be available and rest will be disable and If a user have editor access then all will be available.

I am useing V6.5.1 in Windows 2000.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I don’t think you can control this. However, if the user doesn’t have editor rights to the document, he will not be able to edit and save it back in the document.
