Hello,

We’ve a need to improve our mail system.

All users works with mail replication.

We wish to avoid the replication of the attached files.

Is it possible to send to user only a link (to point on a document with the attached files, this document is in a central database on server) in a mail instead of the file attached ? This action must be transparency for the users : they must do exactly the same to send an email.

We 've try the solution but it’s impossible to use in our architecture : replication.

If someone hnows a lotus solution or add on product to solve our problem?

Hi,

You can replicate user’s mail file without attachments.

BUT, if the user choses to get the attachment it will bring it to the local replica.

If you really meant what do you want, it needs an agent in every mail file, running before mail arrives, and moving attachment to another database, leaving a doc link instead.

I just think it’s quite complicated and you can get problems with this approach. Think about the native option.
