Attach from files and detach files to file system?

Hi,

We are initializing a new project. One requirement will be to attach and detach files to or from Notes documents.

As a good start I do some research -is there anything useful out there.

I found some basic idea on

I thought this topic is somehow “standard”.

So does anyone know a library or has some hints regarding operating system constraints or reading recursively all sub - directories of a specific directory.

Questions that will need to be asked:

How are the users going to be attaching these files? - WEB, Notes, LEI etc

How are these to be visable? WEB, Notes, DB2, WEB2.

Basically the list is endless. Questions like this are normally used rather than I need a database to store documents in. If this is the case change the design of one of the basic domino templates and leave it at that.

IBM read book about Development standards etc… If not speak to your friendly Domino Development trainer or ask your IBM Lotus Rep.

Sorry I can help to point you at the right document becasue Domino as a rule can store files as attachments.
