Are ID Vault transactions encrypted?

Dear

I found in the help files the following information

“All ID vault transaction between clients and servers are encrypted”

Which key will be used for this encryption ?

Thanks

Max

Subject: Yes

Network port encryption is automatically enabled for all authenticated connections to the Notes ID vault, regardless of the settings on the Notes client or the Domino server. In Notes/Domino 8.5, port encryption uses a negotiated 128 bit RC4 session key.

All of the sensitive data being transmitted between the Notes client and the vault server is (also) encrypted by a negotiated 256 bit AES session key. That key may be re-used during a single session – for example, to both upload and download an ID file while resync’ing with the vault – but a different randomly generated IV is used for each logical unit of data being encrypted.

Subject: Yes, see this document on Notes ID vault security in the wiki for details on how the ID files and transactions are encrypted
