We are running R6 on the client and R5.0.12 on the server and are pushing out archive profile settings to user’s mail files through LotusScript. The pushing out of the profile appears to work; however, when the user runs “Archive Selected Documents” they receive the error “Notes error: Server Based archiving not enabled on database. Would you like to modify archive settings?” But when you a check (not modify) the settings they appear to indicate that archiving will be performed on the server and Enable Archiving is set. So why would we be receiving this error? Can we perform archiving on a Notes 5 server using an R6 client?

I have the exact same problem. What Ive noticed is that if you take the option to Archive from server to local it changes the settings to archive from server to server… Is there a way to get around this?
