Archiving on remote domino server

I am having trouble with creating an archiving policy to push out onto a remote domino server. The setup is straight forward which I have chosen to archive anything older than 180 days. We have also chosen:

Prohibit private archiving criteria

I have only apllied this policy to myself and one other user until we resolved this problem.

My understanding is this should grey out the user’s client options so that the user can not modify any settings, and should automatically give them a link to there archived mail.

It does nothing- and my archive settings do not grey out. I can however, manually point at my archive file that IS created.

Mostly unacceptable as this would take a long time to do with 5,000 users. Is anyone else having the same issue. I am unable to find any other similar complaints.

Subject: DCC

Make sure you restart your client at least a few times to ensure that Dynamic Client Configuration (DCC) pulls the policy down.

Subject: client login and out

This has been done also. I can also open my names.nsf from administrator locally and see that I have the policy in my profile. Still broke.
