Archiving from personal folders

Maybe it’s just me, but I have some personal folders and I want to archive some selected documents. I select my documents go to Actions and…there’s nothing there for archiving:

If I’m in the Inbox, or any of the other “system” folders, sent, all docs, etc. then I have the Actions, Archive options:

Am I missing something?

I am experiencing the very same issue also with a colleague here… Never seen this before. I have already upgraded his Notes client, his mail-DB to ODS 51, run the 8.5.1 mailtemplate and have upgraded the folder design. Also a fixup and an updall don’t to the trick… :-(This issue is only in a few of his personal folders while in other folders the archiving option is there…

The Colleague is running WinXP 32 bit. Also when I open his mail DB in my notes client (running on Win7 Ultimate 32bit)I see the same behaviour.

Does anyone have an idea on that?

Subject: personal folder on 8.5

I found that if your folder is created before you upgrade to 8.5 then not archive shown in the menu, but if the folder is created in 8.5 client then archive action is in the menu.

I had the same problem.

You can resolve the issue by upgrading the folder design in the mailfile. You can do this by either going to Actions - Folder - Upgrade Folder Design, or by checking the box for “Upgrade Folder Design” when replacing the design of the mailfile.

Subject: Archiving from personal folders

I have several folders that were created before moving to notes 8.5. i.e. Folders/General

I am unable to see the the archive choice in the actions pull down when in this folder as with others that have posted to this thread.

I am having problems following the directions to upgrade the folder design.

I am selecting the folder from my mail (not my archive) then actions pulldown, however there is no folder selection after that. There is a folder options and then design, but there appears to be no options after that to upgrade the folder design.

I am on release 8.5.1FP1 SHF20 Basic Configuration L-GHUS-7M2JFS

Seeing the same problem here as well. When in a folder you do not get any archive options.
