I am having a problem with the archiving feature in lotus notes. I recently archived a message (in the archive folder structure I have created) - However, after I did this, I noticed that there were changes in the non-archive folder structure. How exactly does archiving work?

Archiving works like this:
You set up the What/ When / How etc.
Then when you hit ARCHIVE now or COMPACT -A the server copies your DB design and folder structure (into the a_.nsf) and then moves the documents that meet the criteria into the a_.nsf. Keeping the folder structure of the origninal.
All of the folders will be created in the New DB but only when documents are moved to it will anything show up in them. ie
Private folder will only have items when documents in the origanal gets put there because they meet the criteria.
