Archiving doesn't delete mails - urgent

(repost - no answer yet, and urgent…)

Hi,

I’ve got a problem (or several?) with mail archiving.

When archiving (server based), the mails are archived but not deleted. The “Don’t delete documents that have responses”-setting is not switched on.

I also get the error message:

Unable to open note on mail\mailfile.nsf (NoteID = 98418) to store in SERVER/Bekk archive\a_mailfile.nsf (NoteID = 0): You are not authorized to perform that operation

Admin has full manager rights to the mailfile, as have the server (and similiar full rights to the physical file on the filesystem). When seraching for the NoteID specified, it’s not found.

I’ve tried fixup, but it doesn’t help.

I see there’s an option -j that deletes files, but it’s poorly documented. Can I use it, and if so how?

Do you have access via a group or a single entry in the ACL. We have had soe funny problems when using groups. If not already try using single entries rather than groups.

Both Admin and Administrators, as well as Server and Local Domain Servers have full access.

Hi Evind,

Did you find a resolution to this issue, experiencing the same issue on a scheduled compact/archive after upgrading to Domino 6, user & group entries are in acl with full delete access also…

Any help would be greatly appreciated,

thanx

Ben
