Hi,
I used to have a folder on my main screen with emails in. The archive was set up for these. since finishing the project 12 months ago i deleted the main folder as i didnt need it anymore.
Project has started up again so created the same folder name on my main screen. When i archived some new mails…all of the old emaild from 12 months back have gone 
how can i get these back, and why would it just overwrite them…cant see the emails anywhere.
I did a test on another folder i didnt care about in my archive…and the same thing happened

Hi Chris,
In your Archive, have you checked the All Documents view for the Missing Messages?
Additionally, you could test to see if the Documents were deleted or are simply missing from the view by checking the Archive Database Properties, examining the number of Documents (second “i” tab). Then repeating the test to see if the number of documents changes in correlation to the number of documents that were in the folder originally. Sounds somewhat confusing, but I hope I made sense! Let me know if it’s too confusing and I will respond more clearly!
