My company is trying to decommission some servers. Two of these servers are for archived mail files only.When we move the Archives we know how to direct the user to the new home.
What we do not know is an easy way to update the local archive settings on the client side. If anyone knows of an easy, efficient manor preferably as cheap as possible please let me know.

Local Archive settings are actually part of the database properties of the mail database. I would recommend using the R6 Policy and Settings documents to create a new Archive Settings that will push to all users an archiving policy. Then you can change the path and actually start restricting local archiving and move to using server based archiving.
